Meet The Expert: Dr Bruce Nestleroth


Bruce Nestleroth

Dr. Bruce Nestleroth brings over 35 years of expertise in nondestructive testing, specializing in inspection technologies to assess pipelines for potential defects. After earning his Ph.D. from Drexel University, Dr. Nestleroth spent 26 years at Battelle and 7 years at Kiefner, where he significantly contributed to advancing pipeline integrity practices.

Since 2021, he has focused on customer education, delivering training and workshops on pipeline inspection technologies and defect assessment. Dr. Nestleroth is based in Columbus, Ohio, USA, and has dedicated his career to studying and enhancing the application of magnetic flux leakage, eddy current, ultrasonic, and electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) in-line inspection technologies.

In addition to his teaching contributions, Dr. Nestleroth actively participates in several industry committees, where he helps develop technical standards for the pipeline sector. His commitment to advancing inspection methods and promoting industry best practices underscores his reputation as a leading authority in pipeline integrity management.
